Tallinn University of Technology (TUT), Tallinna Tehnikaülikool in Estonian, is a public university founded in 1918, it is the oldest and biggest university in Tallinn and the second largest in enrolment in Estonia.

The University provides interdisciplinary higher education, innovation and technological development. With strong emphasis on Research and Development, TUT has an excellent reputation amongst science universities in Europe. TUT offers engineering and economics diplomas and bachelor`s, master`s and doctoral degree programmes with three languages of instruction: English, Estonian and Russian.

There are about 13 000 students and 1900 employees at TUT. TUT has 8 faculties and about 150 academic degree programmes, from which 16 are taught in English internationally accredited (data in 2011).

Role in the project: 

Tallinn University of Technology is participating in the project as a partner and contributing to the following common activities:

-          the survey of the linguistic situation in Estonian context
-          elaboration of a “charter” of multilingual local policy
-          creating and maintaining the web site of the consortium
-          organizing the language festival
